We are looking for a Nursery Educator Level 2/Level 3 to join our dynamic team at the Gatley location. Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Children’s Development:
- Provide high-quality care and educational support to children, creating an environment where they can play, learn, and develop to their full potential.
- Be patient, kind, and supportive, ensuring each child feels safe, loved, and valued.
- Assist with daily routines, including meal times, nappy changes, and comforting children as needed.
- Ensure children’s allergies and health needs are always considered and communicated effectively.
Key Worker Duties:
- Take responsibility for a group of children, tracking their development and learning progress.
- Observe, assess, and plan learning activities tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests.
- Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates and feedback on their child’s progress.
- Support children with additional needs (SEND) to integrate fully into the setting.
EYFS Curriculum & Planning:
- Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to plan engaging, child-centered activities that promote learning and development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a rich and varied environment that supports children’s growth.
- Ensure children’s learning journeys are maintained to a high standard, and that assessments and planning are up-to-date.
Safeguarding & Health & Safety:
- Promote and ensure the safety and welfare of all children in your care, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain accurate records for health and safety.
- Keep children’s records up to date and communicate any concerns regarding a child’s welfare promptly to the appropriate staff members.
Team Support & Professional Development:
- Work as part of a supportive team, maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
- Attend training and development sessions to improve your skills and knowledge and stay up-to-date with current best practices.
- Provide support and guidance to new team members and help create a positive working environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
- A passionate and caring approach to working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to build strong relationships with parents and colleagues.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and education in line with EYFS principles.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection practices.
