We provide nursery care for children aged from 3 months to two years in each of our two nurseries: Gatley and Whalley Range.
We are focused on providing high quality care in a safe, secure and happy environment – a home-from-home. We hope that you will explore our website to learn more about our nurseries. However, the best way to gain a sense of our approach is to visit us.

We stimulate our children with a range of activities throughout the day, enabling our children to flourish.

Our team is highly qualified and experienced, with an average of 10 years’ experience of working with children.
Our day in the Nursery is structured, providing the children with the security that comes with the routine, whilst providing them with varied, interesting and stimulating activities. Our approach throughout the day is positivity – all of our team members encourage a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Our Group Activities, which each last an hour, include: well being sessions, yoga and meditation, games, singing, arts and crafts, numeracy and literacy activities.

The baby-room follows this routine, as far as possible. However, we also understand that every child has different needs, and so we ensure that all of our children, and in particular the babies receive the care, support and stimulation that is right for their age.
Our Time to Play sessions which each last at least half an hour, provide time for free play. This takes place outdoors, regardless of the weather, enabling the children to breathe fresh air. During these sessions we encourage the children to run around our large playground, playing with a variety of equipment to stimulate their play.
We pride ourselves on the healthy and homemade menus we offer. We are dedicated to providing fresh, well balanced meals that not only look and taste great but provide lots of nourishment.
We believe a healthy start with the right diet is vital to a child’s well-being and long term health. Our snack and meal times are a social experience where independence and new skills are developed. Children sit together in their family groups with their key worker. Our team promotes healthy eating and has positive influences not only on nutrition but also in developing the attitudes children have towards food and healthy eating. Older children are encouraged to help set the table in preparation for lunch and serve themselves when possible. All children are encouraged to make choices and try new foods. Throughout the day children can help themselves to fruit and water.
Each site has a qualified cook that uses fresh ingredients to create homemade meals all of which are carefully planned to meet each child’s individual needs and special dietary requirements.
Our childcare staff members are chosen not only for their qualifications but also for their experience in, and approach to, childcare. Each nursery is managed by a highly qualified manager and supported by an experienced deputy. Each member of staff is chosen for their empathy and ability to treat each child as an individual. We are dedicated to the well-being and safety of each child and are aware of their developmental needs and personal routine as well as their likes and dislikes.
We are committed to furthering our staff development with a variety of childcare qualifications that are nationally recognised; ongoing training is available through a wide range of courses available to us through the Borough’s children services and/or through the childcare industry. We also have in-house training where all of our nurseries’ members of staff get together to share personal knowledge and experiences and discuss any training they have been on themselves.

Each room is run by qualified nursery nurses who with the support of their assistants are responsible for their own family groups.

All members of staff also receive first aid, child protection and basic food hygiene training.
Each member of staff is subjected to enhanced checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) before joining our team and once appointed undergoes a thorough induction period and training. This covers our extensive policies, procedures and practices to ensure they understand our own high standards.
In our nursery our staff ratios are a minimum of:
0-2 years = 1:3*
2-3 years = 1:4*
*as required by OFSTED
