Together Gatley pre-school and Whalley Range pre-school are an Approved Provider for the Government’s 15 hours and 30 hours free childcare initiative.
15 Hours Free Childcare
All children in England get 570 free hours per year. It’s usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year. You can receive this support the term after your child’s third birthday.
30 Hours Free Childcare
You may be able to receive up to 30 hours free childcare (1,140 hours per year, which you can choose how you take). If you are eligible for the extra hours, you sign up online. You will be issued a code which you pass to us. You will receive the extra hours once the next term starts.
You will be eligible for the 30 hours free childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) are:
- in work – or receiving parental leave, sick leave or annual leave
- both earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week; or you are self-employed and started your business less than 12 months ago
- either you or your partner do not have a taxable income over £100,000
From September 2023 we are introducing our new funding offer – 30 hours free childcare with no additional charges, 9am-3pm term time only. You must be in receipt of a 30 hour funding offer.
